Downloaded the star wars saga the other day so I was inspired to build a podracer you can see the resemblance with the design and a few of the originals but I am not following any plan.

This was my first attempt to apply the technique of UV unwrapping I have learnt in my 3D modelling class, a barrel was a simple model to texture. I am happy with the way they render but I need to find away to randomize the texture maps a little, other wise ill have a lot of the same barrel.

Just the latest of my renders on the mech and some barrels I created to place in my scene, also a logo I made out of the old "ghost bear legacy" the original is show here in blue. It was good to use Ps a little again.

Still working on this fellow I tried to make him walk but of course because I haven't learnt to rig so life's a bit hard but using just hierarchy I managed to get some very rigid, liner movement.
im learning how to uv unwrap and such at tafe at the moment so that should be interesting to apply to this model, I still need to finish this model to get it perfect.

Heres what my Mech is going to look like I still need to tweak the design a little and then add detail but Im realy happy with the way it looks now I have put the legs on and I cant wait to finish it.

Some Homework ive been getting to in to way to much but i love its getting me to start using max again its been interesting to re-learn.
So its a Mechwarrior and its model is mainly based around "Maddog" who i remember from playing Mechwarrior 2.
